A Change of Pace
Although Wong Shue has been sporadically painting California landscapes since the early 1980s when he first arrived on the West Coast, in 2000 the artist concentrated his efforts on a series of paintings of the Southern California coast and mountain areas. In 2011, two of his paintings of Malibu Canyon were sold at auction at Bonhams and Butterfields. Nosnevets Productions is now exclusively offering some of the artist’s landscapes done over the past decade and a half.
A Seasoned Hand
For a period of almost seven years during the 1970s, Wong Shue focused his attention primarily on drawing. In the ensuing decades, right up to the present, the artist has consistently explored a vast range of subject matter with the use of pencil, charcoal, ink, and pastel. For the first time, Nosnevets Productions is offering a selection of drawings from different periods of the artist's work which have never before been exhibited.
